Tata Aeris Launch on September 25: Price, Features & More

Tata Motors is set to unveil its upcoming compact sedan, the Tata Aeris, on September 25, 2026. The company has already released a teaser, confirming the Aeris name and giving the first look at its updated design.

The new sedan is expected to replace the Tata Tigor in Tata’s lineup. While Tata has confirmed the September 25 date for its Tata Aeris launch, several details like final price, complete specifications, and variant-wise features are yet to be officially announced.

Tata Aeris Launch Date

The Tata Aeris will debut on September 25, 2026. Tata Motors has confirmed the date through its teaser campaign.

The Aeris will be positioned in the sub-four-metre sedan segment and is likely to compete with cars such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.

Tata Aeris Design: What the Teaser Shows

Tata’s teaser gives a glimpse of the Aeris’ revised front-end design. It shows LED reflector headlamps with integrated DRLs, LED fog lamps, and a redesigned grille area. A new purple/indigo exterior shade is also visible in the teaser.

Reports based on Tata’s design-patent filing suggest that the rear could also receive significant changes, including slimmer connected-style tail-lamps, a redesigned tailgate and a new bumper. These rear-design details are based on patent images and current reports and have not yet been fully confirmed by Tata.

Tata Aeris Interior and Features

Tata has not yet revealed the complete Aeris cabin. However, automotive reports expect the sedan to receive an updated interior influenced by the newer Tiago.

Reports suggest that the Aeris could get a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control and powered ORVMs. Other reports also point to features such as wireless charging, Type-C ports and connected-car technology.

Tata Aeris Engine and CNG Options

The Aeris is anticipated to continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine used by the Tigor. Reports indicate that the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrains could continue, paired with five-speed manual and AMT options.

However, Tata has not yet released the final Aeris powertrain specifications. Therefore, these details should be treated as expected specifications ahead of the September 25 debut.

Will Tata Aeris Get an EV Version?

An electric version is also being reported, with some automotive publications listing September 25 as its expected launch date. However, Tata has not officially confirmed the Aeris EV’s battery capacity, range, motor specifications, or launch details.

Therefore, there is currently no confirmed basis to say that an Aeris EV will launch alongside the petrol model on September 25.

Tata Aeris Expected Price

The official Tata Aeris price has not been announced yet.

Autocar India estimates that the Tata Aeris could be priced between ₹6 lakh and ₹10 lakh. However, Tata Motors has not announced the official price yet.

These figures are not official Tata pricing and should therefore be treated only as pre-launch estimates.

Tata is poised to reveal the final prices and variant details around the September 25 launch.

Tata Aeris vs Dzire, Aura and Amaze

The Aeris will enter India’s competitive compact-sedan segment, where it will face the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.

Tata’s approach appears to involve giving the Tigor replacement a new identity along with substantial exterior and interior updates. The company has not yet revealed enough information to make a detailed feature or price comparison with its rivals.
